David Selwyn, Chairman of the Jane Austen Society UK, will talk on 'Domestic Consumerism in 18th and 19th Century Fiction':
Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and much more.
Venue: Elwin Room, Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, 16 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN.
Cost: £10 for tea and talk.
(The BRLSI is situated in the heart of Bath. There is a lift to the Elwin Room on the first floor, and parking is available

Picnic lunch in Sydney Gardens, Bath (inside Holburne Museum if raining), followed at 2.30 pm by 'Sydney Gardens',
a talk by Dr Alexander Sturgis, Director of the Holburne Museum.
Cost: £5 for the talk. Please bring your own picnic.
