Cassandra's Birthday Tea

David Selwyn, Chairman of the Jane Austen Society UK, will talk on 'Domestic Consumerism in 18th and 19th Century Fiction': Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and much more.

Venue: Elwin Room, Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, 16 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN.

Cost: £10 for tea and talk.

(The BRLSI is situated in the heart of Bath. There is a lift to the Elwin Room on the first floor, and parking is available close by at Charlotte Street Car Park.)

The Annual Meeting : Tea and Talk

Frances Hughes from The Garrick Club, London, will talk on 'Theatre in the Time of Jane Austen'.

Venue: Elwin Room, Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, 16 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN.

Friday 14 June

Summer Event : Picnic Lunch and Talk.

Picnic lunch in Sydney Gardens, Bath (inside Holburne Museum if raining), followed at 2.30 pm by 'Sydney Gardens', a talk by Dr Alexander Sturgis, Director of the Holburne Museum.

Cost: £5 for the talk. Please bring your own picnic.
