Cambridge Group

The Jane Austen Cambridge Group was formed in November 1997 and its patron is Clare Tomalin, a graduate of Newnham College, Cambridge and the author of highly acclaimed biographies of Mary Wollstonecraft, Katherine Mansfield and, of course, Jane Austen. Claire was guest of honour at our birthday dinner in 2009, and gave a very interesting talk on her research methods when writing Jane Austen: A Life published in 2000.
