Jane Austen never lived in London, but she visited frequently, staying with her brother Henry at his
several houses. She wrote and dealt with business over her novels while staying with him. Her second
publishing firm, John Murray, was at 50 Albermarle Street, where the inner door still has a large
brass plate saying Mr Murray N.50
