A one-day conference organised by the University of Birmingham and the Jane Austen Society.

Wednesday 2 April to Saturday 5 April | Theatre production of Pride and Prejudice
Venue: Harlequin Theatre, Northwich (Cheshire). This adaptation by Jane Kendall is commonly thought to be the
closest to the book.

28 April to 11 July | 'On-line' Jane Austen course
The course, offered by Oxford University Continuing Education Department, aims to provide an analysis of Jane Austen's style and techniques, and a greater knowledge of the novels' context as an aid to the process of understanding and reading them.

Venue: Alton, Hampshire
A week of events to celebrate Jane Austen's books, her life and the Regency period.
Included in the week's events are talks, music, readings, playlets, displays, a
